He gave every villain a wink and every hero a wound, and he did it all with a voice like velvet dragged over gravel.
Born Timothy James Curry
The son of a schoolteacher and a Royal Navy chaplain. He would lose his father at twelve and find his way to the stage not long after.
Dr. Frank-N-Furter — The Rocky Horror Show
The Royal Court Theatre. He originated the role that would define a cult and free a generation. A mad scientist in fishnets who looked the audience in the eye and said: don't dream it, be it.

Darkness
Under six hours of prosthetic makeup, he played the Lord of Darkness opposite Tom Cruise and Mia Sara. He made evil seductive, and he did it buried in latex and leather. The performance survived the studio cuts; the legend survived the years.
Pennywise the Dancing Clown
